Well we have made it past the halfway point and still going strong.
This week we move onto side control. As you will experience the pressure that can be put on you in bottom side control can be very uncomfortable. The key is getting your arms in between you and them to make that space so you can get out or at least into a better position.
The drill this week is the shrimp. Another move that BJJ is known for.
The aim of the shrimp is to make space between your partner and your hips. This is a key move to master our escapes this week.
The key move is the elbow escape which we cover first. This move will get you out of 90% of side controls that you get stuck in but there are a lot of steps to get it mastered.
The advanced moved this week are some unconventional options from bottom side control. They can work well if your partner is not expecting them.
