Class 1 is working from the guard position. This is the position that BJJ is known for and one of the main control and attacking positions.
The first video is a simple stretching video. This will aid you in the body movements that you do in BJJ but is in no way compulsory for you to undertake. If you do I would suggest doing them after exercise when the muscles are warmed up.
Once you get their hand on the mat it is about closing their options down to the submission or the sweep.
In class 1 we work through the hip bump sweep and kimura.
The second videos will take the techniques a bit further or be an alternative option.
This video gives a different option for a submission if they keep their hand on the mat.
